Description

A choice M40 Luftwaffe four-tone brush and spray camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is a « Q62 » with a lot number of « 258 ». The helmet's exterior features first a spray application of tan and green spray finish. A secondary application of rush applied dark green and brick red. This pattern has been seen on other Flak unit helmets. Some minor oxidation is present on the helmet along with normal storage wear. It remains vivid and contrasting with a desirable matte finish. Luftwaffe decal can be seen slightly coming through. Interior is matching to the exterior and in very nice barely used condition. Crisp leather liner is complete with drawstring and maker marked chinstrap. Ink stamped for size. This helmet comes from the Valenciennes area, France. A unique and choice Luftwaffe camouflage helmet!
