Unissued German M43 Heer combat tunic upgraded for a Medical Officer
Description
A superb German M43 Heer enlisted man's combat wool tunic. Tunic is constructed from a later type and desirable heavy coarse feldgrau wool. Factory applied machine stitched insignia to include machine zig-zag breast eagle and correct straight stitched collar tabs. The tunic was taken by a medical officer who sewed his officer collar tabs and breast eagle over the factory « BeVo » applied insignia, a practice already observed on other combat tunics. Exterior is mint/unissued with no holes, rips tears or stains. One button is missing. Interior is lined in a classic rayon material. Properly ink stamped with sizes and « RBNr ». Sized in a modern day large and would fit most mannequins with ease. Only a pair of shoulder boards remains to be added to complete the tunic. A choice example even for the most discerning collector.
