Unissued German tan/water camouflage jump smock
Description
Very nice late war tan/water pattern paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) jump smock, manufactured in August 1944, in mint/unissued condition, it comes with the factory paper size tag. The original breast eagle is green (grünmeliert) backed and is nicely zig-zag factory sewn. The buttons are blue-grey glass, the snaps are « PRYM6 » marked, the zippers are trademarked « RAPID » with blue-grey leather pull tabs. The smock is nicely ink stamped with the date (8/44), the size (lA) and the RbNr. This smock can not be upgraded !
It is presented in the excellent book of John Hodgin « German Paratroops in North Afrika » in page 70.
