Unissued M40 police double decal combat helmet, « Paris / France »
Description
A stunning M1940 Police double decal combat helmet. The helmet is « Q64 » with lot number « T3337 ». The helmet comes from Paris (France) and was recovered upon liberation, it is in mint unissued condition. The helmet's exterior is in unissued condition and retains nearly 100% of its factory semi rough yet matte feldgrau paint finish. Both decals are 98% with minor age. Light storage and handling scuffs and scrapes are present. Split pins are intact, complete and tightly fastened. Interior is choice and complete in its original state. Pig skin leather liner is bright tan colored leather. Never issued and complete with its drawstring. Nicely ink stamped for size « 57 ». Chinstrap is complete mid war type example and unmarked. Overly a very high conditioned mint unissued example that rarely comes to the open market. Choice!
