US 101st Airborne 501st PIR paratrooper grouping, « Battle of the Bulge »

This amazing 101st Airborne 501st Paratrooper Infantry Regiment grouping belonging to « PFC Fields, John W, 35244849 », wounded and captured during the « Battle of the Bulge / December 1944 ». Comes with Field's Class A tunic. Standard factory produced example that is fully patched and badged. The grouping also includes his US airborne jump jacket and trousers. In excellent condition. Made from the classic « OD brown twill cotton material. The jacket retains all its zippers made by « CROWN » and « SERVAL », all fully functioning. Snaps are present and functional but show some light oxidation from prolonged storage. The jump jacket retains a washed out cutters tag. The waist belt is complete and present. The trousers are matching and complete, they were period lengthened, a common practice observed on other jump trousers. Interior tag is present and washed out. In very nice condition. Several overseas caps, combat shirts, trousers, ties and his personal musette bag is present. Copies of his honorable discharge papers, dogtags , photos showing his Class-A tunic are present. A very nice interview included in the grouping detailing his wounds sustained during the Battle of the Bulge present.
