Early of standard issued US Army camouflage combat trousers. The pair is made from a camouflage double sided printed « HBT » material that was the standard of the time. Tag with measurements « 36x31 » is still present. The colors are really crisp and exceptionally vibrant. Pockets are correctly placed along the sides and still has a washed out tag. All buttons present and period factory sewn.The U.S. Army issued a limited number of the two piece « HBT » camouflage uniform. Troops of the 41st Armored Infantry Battalion, 2nd Armored Division, were the primary recipients but it was also worn by elements of the 30th Infantry Division and 17th Engineer Battalion. Due to a number of « friendly fire » incidents, the uniforms were withdrawn around the end of August. Apparently, anyone wearing camouflage was considered to be German. These trousers were worn with the « HBT » camo jacket or the tanker jacket. A very scarce set of trousers to find and highly desirable especially in this larger waist size. Choice unissued and mint example.
