US M38 Parsons field jacket, « 30th ID »
Description
A first model US M1938 field jacket « PARSONS ». Constructed from a khaki-green windproof and water resistant cotton poplin with a flannel lining, the lining has been damaged by the moths. Standard and typical buttoned tabs at the waist and sleeves. Front closure by a period standard zipper that is hidden under a buttoned flap and still functional, manufactured by « WALDES ». Some buttons are absent but can be replaced easily. Sized in a « 36 ». It still retains the maker tag by « BANCROFT ». 30th Infantry Division patch machine sewn on the left shoulder. Very nice combat look.
