US M43 field jacket, « 36R »
Description
US M1943 Pattern « B » field jacket. Constructed from a green satin material and featuring a second type light green interior colored interior. Four pocket construction with all plastic brown factory sewn buttons intact. Gusseted sleeve cuffs with two button closures on each sleeve. Condition is mint unissued with no rips or tears. Only one white paint marking along the interior. Waist adjustment cord is complete. Complete and fully readable cutters tag is present. Manufactured by a rare and obscure maker « SHAWMUT WOOLEN MILLS », size stamped « 36R » and dated April of « 1944 ». A choice, desirable and iconic US jacket.
