US tanker helmet, « 1st Armored Division »
Description
US tanker helmet in excellent condition showing only some storage wear. Manufactured by the firm « WILSON ATHLETIC GOODS » and a size « 7 1/8 ». All snaps and straps present and in functioning order. Liner is in really nice shape retaining all its natural brown color. Missing only the drawstring but easily replaceable. The « 1st Armor Division » insignia decal is present on the front of the helmet. The soldiers last name underneath « SKEETER » is a nice addition to see. Nice condition example. The 1st Armored Division took part in the invasion of North Africa in 1942, then in Italy.
