US tanker jacket, « 3rd Army / Master Sergeant »
Description
A period WWII 3rd Army - master sergeant winter jacket - tanker jacket. The jacket is made from a good quality khaki tan poplin cotton material. Full-length zipper present, manufactured by « CONMAR / USA ». Knit collar, cuffs and waistband show some use but overall in very good condition. No former evidence of any patches other than what is currently present on the jacket. The jacket is sized in a modern day medium / large. Hand sewn 3rd Army patch on upper left arm and hand applied master sergeant ranks on both of the arms present. Some light staining and one small field repair present. Interior is nicely lined in an « OD » green wool with no signs of any damage. An excellent and desirable example.
