USAAF M3 flak helmet
Description
A period USAAF M3 flak helmet. Manufactured in a similar pattern as the standard US M1 helmet but with the addition of ear protection covers. These helmets were worn by bomber crew members. In overall unissued near mint condition. The helmet's exterior retains over 95% of its factory applied anti-magnetic paint. Some very light and minor storage wear and abrasions are present. The straps of the helmet are complete and factory applied. Made from a tan web material and intact. The helmet's interior is complete and in excellent condition. Commonly missing but present in this example are the ear pads. Overall a very difficult piece of headgear to find in this complete and near mint unissued condition.
