USAAF Type B-3 Mae West, Lt. Theodore Lyon, « 313th Bomb »
Description
A USAAF B-3 « MAE WEST » life preserver named and identified to « Lt. Theodore G. Lyon » of the « 313th Bomb ». The life preserver is in overall nice used condition. Complete with all tubes and straps present. Inspected and inks stamped dated in several parts and various dates. Year of manufacture is May of « 1942 » which is correct for this type featuring the front leather reinforcement. The inner bladder is dried out and is in small pieces. A great piece of USAAF history and a very desirable example.
