USMC P44 HBT « monkey » trousers, « mint / unissued / deadstock »
Description
A pair of early USMS issued « HBT » combat service trousers. A unique trouser design featuring the back button pocket hence nicknamed « MONKEY PANTS ». The trousers are in choice mint / unissued condition. They show some slight storage wear over the decades. Still retaining the cutter tags and even the interior leg tie cords attached along the back belt loop. Interior is ink stamped with the contract and date of manufacture « Jan 1943 ». Size stamped « 36 ». Metal riveted buttons are clearly marked « U.S. MARINE CORPS ». A rare and desirable set of trousers that will be near impossible to upgrade.
