Description

An exceptional M1935 Luftwaffe combat medics helmet. The helmet was recently acquired from a family in Mersch Luxembourg and has never been in a collection before. The helmet is « E.T.64 » with a lot number of « 3022 ». The helmet's exterior features a standard early factory blue finish with the period application of five hand painted medics crosses. Four along the sides of the helmet and a larger one on the top. Decals have been removed before the medics crosses were painted. Nice detailed photos below show age and natural toning of the crosses. Split pins are intact and tightly affixed to the helmet. The helmet's interior is untouched and as found. A nice combat used example yet in very nice condition. It retains its full leather liner with drawstring absent. Early aluminum band and complete chinstrap is still in place. It is named also along the liner to the former soldier. Rare helmet and still remaining one of the rarest to find offers on the public market. Selected Offering!
