Very rare Walloon ID disc, « Wall. Wachabt. II. Balt. »
Description
This exceptionally rare and historically significant ID disc is preserved in outstanding condition and represents a remarkable piece of the history of the Walloon Guard during the World War II. The identification tag was issued to a Walloon collaborator serving in the « Wallonische Wachabteilung II. Bataillon », a formation established in November 1941 with the support of the Rexist movement. Operating under German authority and incorporated into the Wehrmacht structure, the Walloon Guard was tasked with security and guard duties and maintained close cooperation with the Feldgendarmerie. Extremely scarce on the collector’s market!
