Waffen-SS EM combat belt and buckle set, « SS/1257/40 RZM » & « RZM 36/42 SS »
Description
A period untouched Waffen-SS enlisted mans combat belt and buckle set. Rare marked buckle made by « Overhoff & Cie ». Steel example with a silver paint finish. Paint remains well over 80% and shows some nice patina. The reverse is nicely marked « RZM 36/42 SS ». Eagle and lettering remain crisp. A very rare and attractive belt buckle. The buckle comes with its original leather combat belt, nice worn condition, the leather tongue has been removed by the soldier and the belt shortened. The belt is nicely marked on the interior keeper side « SS/1257/40 RZM ». The set was only recently acquired in Austria and remains in untouched as found condition. A very desirable set.
