Description

A Waffen-SS M40 combat service tunic. Example is factory produced from a standard feldgrau wool material. Complete with all buttons and a few sets of period loops. Stripped of insignia but stitching holes can be seen of the former sleeve eagle. The interior is the classic cut and lined for a correct M40 Waffen-SS contract tunic. It is maker marked « ALOIS HEISS » and size stamped for a modern day medium. The tunic is named to the former soldier « KUPFER » of the « PRINZ EUGEN » Division and was originally sourced direct out of the estate years ago. Of interesting note is the full wool makers stamped on the interior of the sleeve. The service tunic has been tailored to be a little shorter for a custom fit along the bottom. Overall a really nice combat Waffen-SS tunic worthy of restoration.
