Description
A Waffen-SS M44 dot camouflage combat service tunic. The tunic is produced in the desirable smooth cotton « OLONA » material. The tunic is rare in the fact that is shows actual gentle use and is considered much harder to find than the more frequently encountered mint/unissued tunics. The tunic shows wear in all the right areas in the detailed photos below. All period factory applied buttons are present. the original factory applied arm eagle is present and nicely machine zig-zag stitched. The correct rank chevron is hand stitched underneath. The interior features textbook details including the silver-grey « HBT » lining material. Markings are correctly ink stamped and the maker is the famous « Betr. Ra. » (Betrieb Ravensbrück). The tunic is roughly a modern day medium and should fit any normal mannequin. One interesting note is a misprint in the camouflage material behind the arm. A really nice and much more desirable example of a period ranked Waffen-SS camouflage combat tunic with exceptionally strong colors. Choice.
