Waffen-SS Panzer EM M43 Field Cap
Description
An exceptionally rare and factory issued Waffen-SS Panzer enlisted mans M43 field cap. This particular example is in excellent overall condition and show very slight wear. Constructed from a smooth feeling black quality wool. The cap features two piece insignia along the front. The eagle is a textbook « BeVo » manufactured example that is machine straight stitched with the insignia nicely folded over. It was properly applied in the manufacturing process before the cap was completed with the cap stitching going over the eagle. The skull is also « BeVo » produced and applied the same way with come access material showing along its perimeter. Both show some light toning from age giving the insignia a nice overall look. Single black plastic button still period attached and featuring a textbook buttoning hole. The caps interior is lined in a smooth to the touch black linen material in two shades of black. Access thread and stitching along the back of the cap. Nicely stamped in white chalky ink with a very scarce « RBNr » and sized « 58 ». Overall a choice and exceptionally rare factory issued Waffen-SS Panzer m43 field cap in excellent condition.
