Early MP38/40 pouch in rayon web construction, « fkx1941 »
Description
Very nice early MP38/40 pouch in rayon web construction. Constructed from an olive green rayon blend webbing material seen on other fieldgear. The front of the pouch features supple leather straps and closures. For this maker the rectangular stitching is a known feature. Stitching is clean and solid. The back of the pouch is nicely ink stamped along the bottom right in earlier style font « MP.38u.40 ». The maker, the date and the Waffenamt are marked on the top leather belt loop « fkx1941 ». A difficult variation to find and often attributed to the DAK.
