Description
Superb and rare early MP38/40 six-cell pouch in rayon web construction. Featuring early olive green web rayon construction and retaining its original leather closure and retaining straps. All stitching present with the slightest of wear. Of interesting note is the black colored thread used to sew the straps. The back belt loops present, secure, with no issued. Properly and correctly stamped with the maker, year, and Waffenamt « eyp41 ». The back is blue ink stamped with the weapons’s designation « MP.38u.40 ». It comes with its extremely rare leather carrying strap, it is in excellent and supple condition. This type of pouch was used by the armored crew members and also well used by the paratroopers « Fallschirmjäger ». Highly desirable early pouch.
